Collect less. Measure what is useful.
InfoShot uses limited first-party measurement to understand whether pages, calculators, and outbound links are working. We do not need your most sensitive financial information to provide the site's core tools.

Limited usage measurement
We may record basic events such as a page view, calculator interaction, or outbound offer click, along with limited context such as the page, product, destination domain, and event time.
Calculator values are not used for routine analytics
We do not use raw financial form values, including balances, deposit amounts, income figures, and other calculator inputs, as part of routine site-usage measurement.
We avoid unnecessary identifying data
Our core comparison and calculator experience is designed without requiring names, Social Security numbers, bank credentials, or account numbers.
Security and abuse prevention
Routine analytics remain identifier-limited. If a request triggers a security or anti-scraping control, we may separately preserve technical evidence such as an IP address, hashed network identifier, user agent, request headers, approximate network location, request timestamp, and the security signal that was triggered. This restricted evidence is used to investigate automated abuse, protect the service, and preserve records when reasonably necessary for a dispute or legal process.
Security evidence retention
Ordinary security evidence is scheduled to expire after a limited period. Higher-confidence abuse events may be preserved longer, and records reasonably connected to a dispute, security incident, or legal matter may be placed on an evidence hold until the preservation need ends.
No conversion-to-ranking feedback loop
Click-through rates, conversion rates, affiliate payouts, revenue, and advertiser economics do not determine where a product ranks in an InfoShot comparison.
Why measure at all?
Aggregate usage information helps us find broken links, confusing pages, and tools that need improvement without requiring a detailed profile of an individual reader.
Provider sites have their own policies
When you leave InfoShot for a bank, card issuer, or other provider, that destination controls its own website, cookies, application process, and privacy practices.
