Corrections policy

When a fact changes, the answer should change with it.

Financial-product information can change quickly. If an important term is wrong, stale, or no longer supported, we correct it or remove it rather than leave an old claim in place.

We recheck time-sensitive facts

Rates, bonuses, fees, deadlines, and qualification terms can change. When an important fact can no longer be supported, the affected offer may be removed until it is checked again.

We do not choose the convenient source

If reliable sources materially disagree, we investigate the difference rather than selecting whichever value creates the most favorable result.

Reader reports matter

A credible reader report can trigger a faster review. We compare the issue against current provider, regulator, government, or other reliable source material before changing published information.

Material errors get corrected

If an error changes a recommendation, ranking, calculator result, eligibility conclusion, or important product term, we update the affected information and recalculate related outputs when needed.

Commercial relationships do not block corrections

An advertiser, affiliate partner, or provider cannot require InfoShot to keep an unsupported favorable claim published.

Provider terms remain authoritative

Even after a recent check, a provider may change a term. Confirm any rate, fee, deadline, or eligibility requirement that is important to your decision before acting.

Report a possible error: Email hello@infoshot.com with the page, product, or claim you believe needs review. A source link or screenshot is helpful when available.
